Brent's Zoo Field Trip

Back in April Brent went on a 1st grade field trip to the zoo and I am lucky enough that Brent wanted me to come with him and chaperone. . .I know he will not always want his mom with him so I am completely enjoying the moment now!

I was assigned 3 boys to keep an eye on and they truly were a bunch of monkeys! :) (the fun cute kind like you see below)

There were actually animals at the zoo. . .the boys justed wanted their picture taken with the statues and other objects at the zoo. It was soooo much fun and I can't wait to go with Brent on his next field trip!

Random Pictures

I found a couple of random pictures on my camera and I figured I would share.

Brent found this hat of Andrew's and just had to try it on. This one just makes me laugh.

Anna has just grown into her big girl bike and LOVES riding it around everywhere and whenever she can. Unfortunately it has been raining ALL the time, so we haven't got much riding in. . .but this was one of those rare sunny days and we took advantage!

Brent was in a school assembly in which the whole 1st grade put on a mini play. It was cute and Brent did a good job. He was so proud of himself and both Anna and I were able to go see him preform.

Brent and Anna being themselves. Silly crazy kids!

The best of friends!

Virginia

We all went to Virginia as a family in February and then Anna and I came back in March to help out my mother-in-law. Unfortunately I did not get any pictures while we were there as a family, but I did capture some fun moments the second time around. Anna found some wigs, tried them on and modeled them for us. It was pretty funny!

This was a small pond down by my mother-in-laws house that Anna loved because it had ducks in it.

Anna got to spend a lot of time with her cousins. . .driving around town.

This is me and my sister Tami. We don't get to hang out any more, but it was a lot of fun spending time with her. . .it was kind of like old times. So weird that we are both married now with kids. . . My niece Jenny kept telling me that I looked just like her mother because we had the same face.

Jenny, Anna and William would all pile on this little trike and ride down this big hill. . .kind of scary but the kids had a blast!

Rock Climbing

For Christmas, Andrew bought the kids and me rock climbing shoes. It was kind-of warm Thursday and we both got off work early so we decided to go over to a local park that has a climbing wall to test out the new shoes.

Anna did a little bit of climbing and a lot of complaining. . .I think because she was tired, hungry and cold. Brent did awsome! He climbed up about 2 feet and actually repled down 3 times. He was excited and had a lot of fun. Andrew and I just spent time teaching them one on one. It was a great evening!

Brent and Anna posed for me "pretending" to climb. . .

This was the beautiful sunset we got to enjoy. . .which was nice since we usually don't get to see the sun here in winter!

Crazy Hair Day 2011

Last Friday was Crazy Hair day at Anna's Daycare. . .so out came the markers and every hair clip Anna had. . .

I think it turned out super cute! It was fun for both of us!

Christmas 2010

We had a wonderfully quite Christmas this year! Exactly what I had hoped for! But unfortunately I did not get any pictures, except of the kids with their new bedrooms and these three of Anna who was the only one who would let me take her picture.

You can tell who is the princess in our family. She LOVES to dress up and she is such a girly girl. It is so funny, that me of all people would have such a girlly little princess. . .we know she doesn't get it from me! :)
The reason Brent didn't want to be in any pictures was because he was too busy building all the Lego's he got. I meant to take some pictures after Christmas to show the stuff he built but my camera died and I couldn't find the charger, so this will have to do. . .

Separate Rooms

It only took us 2 1/2 years of living in a 3 bedroom home to get the kids their own rooms, but finally Brent and Anna officially have their very own rooms. Santa even brought them new bedding and wall decals to decorate, since it will probablly be another 2 to 3 years before I actually get around to painting.

Brent's room has a space theme. . .

Anna's is purple and pink butterflies and flowers theme. . .

My mom also bought me the curtains you see hanging by Anna's bed. I am SOOOO happy to have my very first curtains ever in any house we have lived in. . .since we have been married. As you can see interior decorating is not my forte or my priority. :)
